PINAY VERSION "BRONZEY LOOK"

For the Face ...Ever Bilena Pro Bronzing Powder ( P180.00+ up)

A lightly scented and frosted powder that gives sheer and natural color effects. A perfect skin tone enhancer and a new alternative in creating a beautiful tan.

It has a decent pigmentation, a bit of shimmer, and really creates a breautiful tan. You can use this on the face, shoulders, decolletage for that Bronzey glow.

Multipurpose...

Careline Eye Shadow Powder (P100.00 + below)

Enriched with natural Vitamin E that moisturizes skin, making you look younger and more beautiful all day long. It contains microfine titanium dioxide and other coloring pigments that provide protection from sun damage.

As for the shade, find something that will compliment your coloring. I bought this in Meztiza White shade. It has a decent pigmentation, shimmery, and affordable. I find this item very versatile because you can use it alone or with a medium.

For the eyes, I use this with a base for longer wear. Find a medium where it can stick to, you can use your concealer or eye crayon whichever is available.

As for highlights I mix this item with my moisturizer and place it where I want to stand out. I sometimes mix this item with my liquid foundation as an alternative for illuminator.

You can also mix this with petroleum jelly or any lip balms you own for that added shimmer. Or you can place it on your cupids bow to make your lips pop.

I also mix this item with my lotion for added glow and place it on my shoulders, decolletage , and legs for that added radiance.

So many use for this item and its dirt cheap. I totally recommend this!

Shiseido Maquillage Quad Review

I got this as a wedding present from my Hubby's office mate. I love everything about this quad, I simply cannot find anything bad to say about it. This shade is in RD742 or simply the purple quad.

Let me start by saying I absolutely love japanesse makeups . I adore their quality and SHISEIDO is one among the best brand I often read in the reviews. And one of the brands I'm lemming to have.

As for this quad, I really love all the shades. It makes my brown eyes pop and gives me that glam feeling. The quad consist of eyeshadow for lid,mid tone eyeshadow base-contour for the outer-V, highlighter, and eye liner.

In terms of the quality, texture, lasting power, wearability of shades and packaging they are of good quality. However for those ladies who are into smokey eye look ,I guess you'll be dissapointed with quad. Though these are highly pigmented eyeshadow the color selection tends to lean more on the pastel range. And thats pretty much I love about it thats why I'm giving this a two thumps up.

I think the only major drawback for this quad is that its way too expensive. I think this retails around P3k + up in the market. This product is really worth checking out.

Cover Girl Trio in Shimmering Sands Review

This trio is perfect palette for a basic, neutral eye look. The colors are smooth, easy to blend, have a decent pigmentation. This kit is a bit shimmery but not over-the-top. The best part of all it's DIRT cheap - it retails at $4USD. You can check this out on eBay Ph since it cost twice in the leading department store.

As for repurchasing, I don't think I will, I'm a sucker for matte when it comes to neutral-brown shades. For those who love shimmery eyeshadow this might be worth checking out.

Guerlain TOUCHE DE NACRE No. 200 Review

I'm a big Guerlain fan... I adore their makeup and I'm sucked in by Guerlain's pretty packaging. When I saw this quad on their website I'm out of words. I got to have it! Luckily my Sister-in-law went to Bangkok and purchased this beauty for me.

This palette is soooo beautiful, the colors are very wearable, the texture is superb and the effect is ethereal and fairy-like. I always get compliments using this, it's quiet unique. The pigmentation, the shimmer, I can't find the right words to properly describe it. However, if your a MAC eyeshadow user, I guess you'll be pretty dissapointed with this quad. This eyeshadow is not as intense as MAC. This quad's pigmentation and texture reminds me of my Shiseido Maquillage Quad eyeshadow, pretty on their own.

Going back to this quad, all four shades blend beautifully and works well seperately or in combination. The quad consist all light shades of pink, green, blue, and yellow. The shadow case is very lovely its nice, sturdy and holds up well.

One major drawback for this quad is the price. This retails at $57 USD (tax), a bit over price in my opinion. But I still bought it, what a sucker! ;-)

As for recommendation, I still think this product is worth checking out. Thumbs up for Guerlain!

Cover Girl Eyeshadow Quad Review

I totally forgot the shade of this quad but its leaning towards purple. The color is gorgeous in the package, however, it does NOT carry over to your eyelids.I don't really like this quad for a lot of reasons. First, you need to do a lot of packing of this eyeshadow to your lid for the color to show up. Second, you need a very good eye primer for this to make the color look alive. Lastly, its not long wearing. The color fades through out the day and will leave you with shimmery hint of purple.

I was disappointed with this quad because their not the same quality with the trio that I got - the shimmering sands. I would not recommend this to anyone who's on the look out for a decent wallet friendly makeup.

NYX TRIO Eyeshadow in Neutral Shade Review

I love this trio! This NYX Trio is Nude/Satin Taupe / Dark Brown. Bought this online and very satisfied. This is the most basic neutrals that I have. The nude and taupe are gorgeous colours. I often use the nude as all over base for my lid to give me that wide-awake look. I do find them a little powdery but this doesn't bother me much. Its blendable and buildable. I always use my MAC paint pot in painterly as my primer and this trio looks so alive. As for the dark brown, it's highly pigmented. I sometimes used the dark brown for lining my upper and lower eyelids or use it as eyebrow powder. The best thing about this trio its so affordable. It retails at $8 USD at Nyx website, but you can buy this in other e-store that sells it half the price.

I totally recommend this kit, its the most versatile palette that you can really use everyday. I do wish that they'll open a store here in our country. If you can get a hand on these baby try checking it out.

KATE Designing Eyebrow by Kanebo Review

For a soft, natural eyebrows look you can try brow powder. This one is birthday gift from a friend. Although I would be ecstatic is she got me the ANASTASIA ones. ;-) (wishful thinking…)

You can find this one at SM Department Store, it retails around P700.00+ up (peso). As for the shade, mine is in EX-5, which is the darkest among all the brown shade range. The compact consist of 3 graduation shades of brown . The kit comes with a dual brush - one for eyebrow and for blending. It also comes with a mirror and the size is very handy.

For my application I’m using my own eyebrow brush. All in all this product is long wearing and really delivers its promise.

As for repurchasing, I don’t think I’ll spend that kind of money for an eyebrow powder. There are plenty of alternatives out there.

Cheap alternatives:
Find a matte eyeshadow powder which will mimic the natural color of your eyebrow hair. Just find a pigmented one so that it will work.

Or check out the Wet ‘n’ Wild ones kit, NYC Kit, Maybelline, Ever Bilena, Fanny Serrano, Fashion 21, and Aido

Eyeshadow Collection

My small collection :

Favourite Top to Bottom

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly – the most abuse one

Shiseido Maquilage in RD 742 (purple quad) – use when feeling glamorous

Guerlain Quad in Nacre 200 (light - pink, blue, green, yellow) – use when feeling cute

Nyx Trio in Nude/Satin Taupe/Dark Brown – use when feeling just to belong

Cover Girl Trio in Shimmering Sands – use when wanting to look fresh

Wild and Crazy in Mist Over Me – use as highlighter for inner corner of the eyes

Fasio Duo – (silver and violet) great for night out; metallic duos

Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Trio in Aquamarine – haven't tested this one yet

Maybelline Dream Mousse Eye Shadow in Ivory Illusion – use as base

Love Alpha – cream eye shadow; use as base sometimes

Cover Girl Quad in light purple shade (forgot the shade) – keep forgetting this one

With eyeshadows, I'm not very particular about the brand. I'm just taking into consideration the following items before I buy it. First if it's pigmented, if it's blendable, if it's long wearing, and of course the price. If everything fits then any eyeshadow brand will do.
